FAQ

!!Who decides when a medical evacuation is necessary?

An emergency medical evacuation will generally occur if it is recommended by an attending physician at the medical facility or hospital you are in and it is agreed to by the medical director of the travel insurance company or their representative. Always make sure the insurance company is envolved in making the decision. They contract with emergency evacuation providers worldwide for these services to be preformed on their behalf. Do not arrange a medical evacuation yourself. You may not be reimbursed for it.
